- Some correspondence with QTAC can assist to ensure the correct information
is submitted.
- QTAC will source a frequency from their database, check if any intermods exist with other services at the site,
and request that the local group check the frequency for interference.
- The group should then forward to QTAC -
- A formal A.C.M.A. application, (ie.RO57 "&" RO77) (sourced from -
http://www.acma.gov.au/WEB/STANDARD//pc=ACMA_FORMS_SPECTRUM
- A cheque for the A.C.M.A. licence fee (payable to A.C.M.A.).
- Technical specifications of the proposal, proposed radio site,
and area of coverage.
- Confirmation of contact name, address, postal and
telephone numbers of an applicant groups President, Secretary, project
builder and person responsible for the maintenance of the project.

- Any requested call sign, as A.C.M.A. may issue your preference if available.
- When a completed A.C.M.A. application form together with the above
information and specifications of a groups proposal, and a cheque
(made out to A.C.M.A.) has been received, QTAC is to furthur investigate
and process same. (Note that A.C.M.A. look for a letter from QTAC stating
that the proposal conforms to the Bandplans and thus all applications
should be forwarded through QTAC.)
This may involve QTAC corresponding with NTAC, WIA or neighbouring
TAC's regarding the proposed repeater, link or beacon site. The application
is then sent (by QTAC), together with the Institute's approval letter, direct to
the most suitable office of the A.C.M.A. for them to do their own
investigations and to issue the respective license.
- If there appears to be any undue delay in obtaining
approval for the repeater, link or beacon, QTAC may be able to assist in
finalising this matter.
- When the repeater, link or beacon application is
approved and a call sign issued by A.C.M.A., the group is requested to advise
QTAC so that the Institute's database may be updated and thus the
Australian Amateur Call book.
